A group of children/young adults who are brought into a parallel world, their discoveries of the magical world they find themselves in and the classic battle of good vs evil
Sounds like one per moon would fit. Maybe the moons could be the divinities (or there symbols) in which the occupation are divided.

Sounds good, how about starting with a collection of short stories about the champions to further build their characters. From there you can build you world of after the essence creation. Just a thought
In my world magic is split into three factions (almost like the magic itself not the ppl determine good and evil) intelligent magic (word magic, divination, alchemy etc) neutral magic like battle mages with elemental powers, and dark magic like mind magic, necromancy, blood magic, shadow magic...
In the story I’m working on, an advance in technology/biological discovery essentially “created” magic. In other words biological science discovered a human gene that was the source of life (the soul) and its magical properties thus releasing the ability to use magic. Hope that makes scenes.
