Clarifying the rules for an external critique group. . .

I’m developing a structured critique group that I would like to invite Mythic Scribes members to join, but I want to make sure I’m not overstepping any forum boundaries.

Members would use Google Docs to share their writing and leave critique comments. I would require all conduct to follow the same general standards as on Mythic Scribes.

However, I understand that because the majority of discussions may take place outside the forum, Mythic Scribes staff would not be able to monitor or moderate them. (Nor would I ask them to).

Would posting an invitation to this external critique group be permitted under the forum rules?

I will not make an invitation post until I am certain.

Yes. That is kind of what the promotion section is for. But milage may vary. Most probably won't use it.

I appreciate the help from a veteran. My idea feels like it's a bit in-between writing groups and critique requests.

I am not promoting myself, but a group I will quietly happen to organize in the background. I'll be invisible aside from collecting homework and submitting my own with equal value to everyone else's.

Any further suggestion?
