Hello fellow writers

Hi, my name is Davey or you can also call me Mac. This is the first time I have joined a writing group/forum.

I am currently working on a low magic, dark fantasy novel with a strong focus on worldbuilding, history, and character. It is the first of a trilogy. It is my first proper project after a long break from writing. I am obsessed with the project, as I’m sure many of you are with your own.

I tend to lean towards darker, more grounded fantasy with a lot of historical influence. I enjoy building detailed worlds, even if half of it never makes it onto the page

I’m here to improve, get honest feedback, and connect with other writers who are serious about their projects. Always happy to read and critique other writers’ work as well.

Looking forward to getting to know some of you and hopefully further my progress on my own project as well as helping you if i can.

Thankyou everyone. I have been busy writing and forgot I had signed up to this on Friday. Was it Friday? I am not entirely sure I’ve lost all track of time.

I am still learning the site. I have a bit of writing left and then I will look through the forums. I did look around late on Friday night and I have just re-read what I wrote. Two of my sentences, in the middle of a long answer to a question, don’t make any sense haha! I was half asleep in my defence.

Someone has poisoned the Kool-Aid?
I have never tried it, but I hear about it a lot in American pop culture. I am from the Northeast of England, near the Scottish border. So not a lot of Kool-Aid. In the literal sense ha

Yes, I remember reading about it or watching a documentary.

I still haven’t had much time to read all of the forums in here. I see a lot of useful information so far, can’t wait to do a deep dive. If anyone has any recommendations, I would appreciate it.
