This was the stuff legends were made of: Fibers of thought braided into large strands twisting through time, sprung from ancient fires of sustenance to light-emitting diodes of digital superhighways, growing, mutating, cavorting into a muscular mass of firing synapse waves crashing into craggy cliffs of consciousness in tsunamic proportions.
To register for the Mythic Scribes forums, I had extended an appendage of flesh, sinew, and bone to firmly compress a button of synthetic organic solids. But were these dense, molecular polymers recycled, reincarnated manifestations of former formations of this matter, conceivably leading previous lives of “hydrogen dioxide” bottles, or perhaps balloons long ago manipulated into shapes of animals or other recognizable objects by talented mimes or circus clowns until the gasses dissipated and the creations were tossed aside … or maybe even milk jugs? And if formerly milk jugs, was the milk from free-roaming, grass-fed, hormone-free cattle? I did not know.
But, wait, I am getting ahead of myself here. I hadn’t quite yet fully crossed into the realm of Mythic Scribes forum posting. I was then faced with the test of dueling with a CAPTCHA to prove I was a person! I bested this foe quite easily in our first round thank-you-very-much, and I am quite sure that I am a person. Although … nevermind.
And then, after ALL OF THAT, now I had to form a textual account of my scribing experiences and epic expressions of my interests in the introduction forums! I was drained; my mental state a shifting tectonic mass delaying with dormancy; an onslaught of thought building to a volcanic burst ready to pop at any time. Was the Mythic Scribes community prepared to face this flood of maniacal magma flowing through the forums?
OK, trying again with my intro:
I like to write stuff. I write about travel, history, mythology, folklore, food, and some fantasy fiction. I’m currently an editor working for an ad agency that provides services to many Fortune 500 companies. I am also possibly a wee bit weird.
Now that's better!
Hail and well met Roman Flis
You are on a forum for fantasy writers... we are all a "wee bit weird" here [even if we don't like to admit it]. But are you dangerous is what we need to know...
This is a great place to learn and share.
