Heya, nice to be here, always found it advantageous to have to group or class to discuss things with, so hoping this community helps me get things done. Mutual motivation and such! Currently working on my 18th century dark fantasy novel trilogy, which I have had in my brain for half my life and honestly at this point I just want the damned thing on paper so I don't have to think about it anymore.

I've had academic writing published but this year will hopefully see me publishing my first novel. I'm hugely into period pieces so pretty much everything I write is set in the past, and I'm a great lover of gallows humour and the macabre.

I think a lot of us start writing just to get THAT story out of our heads.

What subject do you publish academically on? 18th century dark fantasy sounds very intriguing. So many people tend to pass over the 18th for some reason but I love it.
