I'm posting pieces from my novel for public review and comments.
The novel is a speculative dark fantasy. (Though would probably come close to magical realism, despite the fact it has a future setting. )
Audience is adult or new adult (18 - 40) Or older!
Could enjoy: The Chronicles of Ancient Darkness, Obsidian and Blood, Stone Sky.
The entries aren't complete chapters. I'm trying to get a general feel of if my writing is engaging enough and has clarity for some important narrative events. The chunks I plan to share are generally serving groundwork and setup purposes. That way, when looking back on the posts it's a new way to detect inconsistencies in these types of scenes!
I'll try and keep the things tame (Palace drama, politics and such) but there are potentially visceral descriptions and references to rituals that might be strange or unsettling that get brought up in dialogue.
