Hello everyone,
It’s taken me years to finally sit down and write. Life was always too busy, and being a lifelong introvert didn’t make it easier. Running my own business forced me to “be social” (as my wife likes to remind me), but the anxiety never really went away.
Still, stories kept circling in my head. My wife—an avid horror fan—and I would talk late at night or on long drives about the kind of tale we’d love to tell. I lean toward fantasy and science fiction, she toward horror, and together we shaped an idea that could live as a screenplay or a book. It ended up being a shortish novella, so I can gauge whether I can expand on this world I created or go for something entirely new.
A few months ago, I finally had the time to give it a try. I wrote in secret, only sharing the first draft with her. Five drafts later, she was hooked, and I decided it was time to press “publish.” The absolute nausea and sleepless night that followed didn't help...
A friend pointed me to this forum, and I’m glad they did. After reading some of your introductions, I feel like I’ve found a place where I can connect, learn, and share this journey.
Looking forward to being part of the community.
