I've been a dabbler for far too long. A few short stories and three chapters of a novel has been the majority of fruit. I'm going to participate in NaNoWriMo again this year, with determination to finish with a history to the aforementioned chapters.

I'm looking forward to gleaning tidbits of writerly knowledge from this community and providing my input as moved.

Thanks and see you around!

Hail and well met Celvane
I hope you find this place and entertaining and useful as I do.
BTW I like Dabbling. You've got to dabble to find out what you like/want or not...

Hiya Celvane and Welcome! Hope to see you finish with those chapters. Jump right in, don't be shy, Mythic's is a great place to learn and share.

Welcome, Celvane. Here's a cup of encouragement to get you past the dabble and into the horrors, er, joys of writing. :)

Welcome. Good luck with the NaNoWriMo. I had a friend who did that. And it certainly forced her to finish a book. Problem was she thought what she wrote was gold, so she published it herself. It might have been okay, but she did not do the necessary rewrites to make it so. She wanted my "honest" opinion of it. I gave it to her. She was and still is pissed. I do think NaNoWriMo is good at forcing a person into having a deadline. And then the real work begins.
