DreamerCongradulations!Victory!
With Gwyn defeated and this playthrough concluded I am now ready to move on to Dark Souls 2. I am not done with Dark Souls 1 and I will probably return in the future as I have more playthroughs planned but for the time being I shall focus on something else.
Anyway these are my five playthroughs and the ending level I had for each of them. Which I will share with you totally unsolicited.
Guy de Leonne - 115
Lorencio the Lasombra - 110
Brother Albrecht of the Black Templars - 87
Sir Godfrey the Dragonbane Knight - 89
Luthor the Heretic - 81
So as you can se its a vast improvement in my skills as I've been playing this game.

It is not for the faint of heart, you need to catch, level up or otherwise fully evolve (if possible) all pokemon in certain sections before proceeding to the next gym badge.
I've been told that the segments before Brock are the second most grueling part of the challenge.
And I believe them. I've clocked 18:50 in game hours just on this first section alone.
AurorI'm almost done with the stuff before brock haha, just gotta evolve Iveysaur and Mankey. When the going gets tough, stay strong, and don't go hollow.![]()

AurorI am now on the way to the next city in my playthrough.I've made my way to the first mist wall. I'm unsure if this is where I enter to enable PVP or if there's a boss behind this one. But either way I'm getting hyped to push through it.
EDITED: And I've got myself a nice shield as well.![]()

AurorThe players invading you aspect has been toned down in 3 (You have to actually be in online mode for it to happen, there are a few 'npc' fights dotted about but they aren't as annoying as real players.) and Eldin Ring you can avoid it completely. I don't recall how it works in BB since I only saw that in a Let's Play and they did it in offline mode.I'm playing Dark Souls 2 and I've made my way to the fog gate before the first boss. There are some design choices in this game that I don't like so I can see why its ranked as the least of the Souls games. But it still a pretty damn good game on its own.
EDITED: But since I can't avoid PVP invasions by other players and I get not enjoyment from PVP I've regretfully decided to skip this game. Its a shame but there it is. I can't justify playing a game and laying down so much time when I know I won't enjoy it. It hurts a bit but there it is.
To get something from it I'll just have to watch Let's Plays and lore videos and read the lore on wikis and such, and move on to Dark Souls 3 and keep enjoying my gaming.

I wouldn't mind the invading mechanic if you didn't actually drop your souls. I'll have to give Eldin Ring another go since I never finished it. Each playthrough I get a bit further but still.
If you want something Dark Souls like but Single player Try Tunic, it's equally hard (especially early game when you aren't powered up) but it feels a lot more like a classic Zelder than anything.
AurorI'm the same way, my back log is more of a twig but I'd like to 'take care of business' before I purchase anything else.Once I'm done with Dark Souls 3, Tunic and Elden Ring could be options. But I've also got Sekiro and that's a strict single player game so I've got some options to play to avoid the hated invasions.
I'll have a look at Tunic and see if it something I might get further down. Right now I've got so many games in my Steam library that I feel that I should at least try some of them before I get more. :/
