I used to say that, but there's advice I give to authors when writing description: Don't hedge. Don't be wishy-washy. If you like it, say "yes." If you don't like your own writing, weeeellll, lie.

Hmm, that gives me a new answer: "I can't write for shit! I hate it, but it won some awards and was a best-seller on Amazon, so what the hell?"
